Fountain In the Autumn Sunlight

Minneapolis 2009 082-ed1
I used a really fast exposure so the water would be frozen into droplets. Click to see it larger - better detail.

I may have missed my chance to go back with a different lens and tripod. I think they shut down the fountain October 1. I'll try tho on the next sunny day.

Butterfly Against The Stucco

Or maybe its a colorful moth. I was happy that it sat for three photos.

Been MIA For A Few Days

September 2009 237-ed1
I think this is some sort of verigated Dahlia. Something about this photo that I absolutely LOVE. From the rose garden at Pt. Defiance. Obviously they have other types of flowers there. Quite lovely indeed.

Photo Assignment from Miz Booshay

Blackberry Bokeh I love these blackberries. And the Bokeh. The assignment was to post of photo of fall landscape bokeh. I think this doesn't quite qualify - but note the nice out of focus patterning in the background.

september greeblepix entry

Posted because of the feeling I get from this photo because lets face it, technically its a pretty shitty photo. Himself and a friend at Ocean Shores in late August. They had so much fun.

Deep Lake in the Afternoon Light

Deep Lake[1]
Funny, I was looking at this picture thinking how liquid the water looked. Ha ha. Millersylvania State Park is on a lake with the original name of "Deep Lake."

Camping Again - Nightime Portrait

Its probably kind of strange to finally read some of my owner's manual for my camera while camping. But thats what I did. Hubby and I had some fun after the kids were in bed with the manual exposure settings. This pic was a hand-held exposure for 1.6 seconds. I did lighten it up a bit before I posted it. Oh, and couldn't see a thing as far as focusing goes so I had to best-guess.

Found this little dude on my car after shooting at the Rose Garden. Yay for my camera being ready.

Playing at the Rose Garden - SOOC

My editing prowess is pretty much non-existent beyond a little contrast control and some color enhancing. However even that little bit was not used in this (IMO) gorgeous Bee doing his Bee business on this flower.

Click on the photo to make it larger - its really quite nice. SOOC except to resize for ease of use.

Weird Dead Plant In The Woods

From our last camping trip to Millersylvania. That is pretty much the correct color on the green leaves in the background. I did very little color correction on this.

Herself Red Shirt

When she came down the slide her hair was sticking straight out from the static - it looked awesome.

Oh Help Me He's in First Grade!

I cannot believe how grown up he looks in these pictures. Must be because he's growing up. We completed his last request (of three) to finish out the summer. Last week I asked him what he wanted to do before school started. He said:
1. Go to The Park.
2. Go to the Zoo.
3. Have a picnic in the backyard. Which we did tonight, on a blanket (at his request) and he got to pick the menu. Then we went next door to the school basketball court for a Bicycle Walk.

All in all, a really nice way to end our Summer. Thank you my son - I love you!
These pics are from yesterday evening.
