December Greeblepix Contest Entry

Peace Star 6

I took 36 pictures of this ornament, something I'd been planning for 3 or 4 days. Or at least thinking about it, how to set it up etc. I really wanted some nice bokeh and a warm light. I edited 6 of them, and finally decided this was the best mix of all that was desired.

And, I love this ornament. Everyone in the family gets a similar one this year, but this is my fave. I like what it says.

Anyway, this is my Greeblepix entry for this month. Go visit Aimee at Greeblemonkey and look at everyone elses entries, there are always amazing photos!

Not Sure If This Qualifies Or Not...

Hoar Frost Leaf
But I think this is called Hoar Frost. Its when fog freezes as frost, its very 3-D. I really didn't get many good pics of it tho.

Very blue. I overexposed the picture, not on purpose of course, but I kind of like it anyway.

A Walk On The Waterfront

And with kids there are always rocks involved, being thrown in the water, in your pockets, at each other, etc.

Rocks in Your Hand

I think I spelled barnacles wrong. Guess I should spell check.

Baking With Monstergirlee (Thanksgiving Prep)

Today I baked Banana Bread, Pecan Pie and tried a new technique on my turkey, I went with a Dry Brine. Basically you salt the turkey and let it sit for 3 days. Supposed to be good.

And the Turkey, kind of an unappetizing picture but since it was part of the days food prep, here it it. The salt too.

7 Years Old Today!

And I should write an epic post - but suffice to say, my son is so wonderful, he makes me glad to be alive every single day. But I'm a little emotionally worn out, so I'll post a bunch of photos of my Wonderful Awesome Boy!
Happy Birthday!

The Climber

When we were boarding for our flight to Minneapolis, the Pilot was right there and invited my son and another boy to sit up front for a little bit. He got a lesson in flying a plane. Waaayyyy cool.

Some days I only get to take a nice picture if I follow it up with a silly face picture.

More silly faces. In our Magnolia tree out front.

I chose Natural Autumn Light for this one. I love the quality of light in the afternoon on a sunny October or late September day.
