May Greeblepix Contest

May Greeblepix Entry

So I'm a bit disenchanted with flickr right now, I like it for some stuff but I also realize it stops me from posting as often because instead of uploading a photo straight to my blog, I have to upload it to flickr, then edit it, resize it, then post it. Anyway, its not that much work but it slows me down. I think I'll go back to the other way for a while.
However, since this is greeblepix time, I am going for a large photo today.

Anyway, go HERE and check out the rest of the entries, you'll be glad you did.

February Greeblepix Contest

This is such an old photo - like 5 years? It was taken on a film camera but when I had it developed I had a CD made too.
Anyway, with my new iMac sadly I have no new photos online except some awful sunrise pictures, not worthy of Aimee's contest.
So go here to the Greeblepix contest and check out the other entries.
Hope you enjoy mine!

I am so grateful for my healthy children, wonderful husband, and a warm house to live in. I am keeping that in mind when so many others are not so fortunate.
Over at greeblemonkey, this months greeblepix contest is geared towards donations to relief efforts in Haiti. Check it out, and enter if you can.

December Greeblepix Contest Entry

Peace Star 6

I took 36 pictures of this ornament, something I'd been planning for 3 or 4 days. Or at least thinking about it, how to set it up etc. I really wanted some nice bokeh and a warm light. I edited 6 of them, and finally decided this was the best mix of all that was desired.

And, I love this ornament. Everyone in the family gets a similar one this year, but this is my fave. I like what it says.

Anyway, this is my Greeblepix entry for this month. Go visit Aimee at Greeblemonkey and look at everyone elses entries, there are always amazing photos!

October Greeblepix Entry

M&D's Favorite Tree-ed1

I had a rather tough time choosing a photo for my entry this month. I took this yesterday out walking with my Mom. My parents have the most awesome cabin in Grantsberg, WI, right across the road from a State Park - we were out on this prairie walking around, saw deer tracks, sand crane tracks and BEAR tracks. But no bears- thankfully.
Anyway, this won, its my Mom and Dad's favorite tree. Here is a link to the rest of the greeblepix entries - enjoy! There are so many amazing photographers.

greeblepix Entry March 2009

Click on the photo to see a larger version. I posted this photo waaay back when, but have always loved it, so I decided to enter it for this months greeblepix contest over at Awesome Aimee's greeblmonkey website. Go HERE to see the rest of the entries. Thanks Aimee.
This shot is SOOC except for slight cropping at the top and the bottom. I use a Canon Digital Rebel XTi and I love it. I publish a new photo everyday so feel free to follow me (its easy in the upper right hand corner) and check them out!
Funny that a lucky shot would be the theme - I didn't even know that when I posted this.
We were at Copalis Beach early last summer. My daughter had entered the stage where she does NOT want to get her picture taken and refuses to cooperate. This was the culmination of her walking towards me showing me the sand on her face and shoes and pants and hands and I was shooting and shooting and shooting hoping something would turn out.
Great theme.

Greeblepix Entry!

Hope you enjoy this months entry! Go check out the other enties here.

This photo is from my January Photo Safari with Himself. That phrase has become common verbage around my house. Momma - when are you going on another photo safari - can I come? my son announced he wants to be a professional photographer when he grows up. He also wants to be a sculptor. My budding artist. (and yes this photo was a previous photo of the day - I'll post another original later)

Greeblemonkey January Entry - Inspired by my Dad

Talk about inspired! This is a picture of my fathers hand, one of the two people (the other being my Mom) in this world who have inspired me and motivated me and helped provide me with the foundation of Who I Am Today. Everyday I am thankful for my parents.
And this photo is representative of that. My Dad being who he is, stuck his hand in while I was taking this picture. The cool thing is it shows his stubby finger, which is something I'll remember forever, but I've never seen a photo of it. Click on the photo for a larger look.
This is my entry for awesome Aimee's January greeblepix contest - go check out the other entries here.

Greeblepix! YAY

Greeblepix! Another entry for me Aimee at greeblemonkey's photo contest.OK, so I've posted this photo before but I really like it, and hope you do to.

And oddly enough, I am grateful for spiders (when they're OUTside) because they keep the flying insect population down, and because my son knows I like to photograph them- he calls out to me whenever he sees a good one. Or this morning he spotted two webs with dew on them, quite lovely they were.

Check out other other entries here.
Enjoy!
