Taken in the cab of my brother's truck, one crazy evening when we drove to Portland to have dinner with him. We hadn't seen him in over 3 years and it was such a treat to visit. Short and sweet.

A New Year

A trip to Ocean Shores on New Years Day was so much fun! We flew kites and ate a picnic lunch (in the car, ) it was about 40 degrees with a 25 mile an hour wind but the sun was shining! So we bundled up and ran around on the beach.

Thankful!

I am so thankful for so many things this year. I know I complain a lot, but really it's just the small stuff that I let get me down sometimes. Overall, I am so very blessed.

The autumn has fallen quite hard here in the Pacific Northwest. Kind of sucks.

He really pulled a fast one on me tho. I always told him he could do whatever he wanted with his hair. Little did I know that feeling would change once he wanted to grow it out. I so prefer it short short short. Oh well, he's still a cutie pie.

And he's starting second grade. We had our traditional Mother and Son Starbucks breakfast, the walked to school together. Next year it'll be with the girl.

August Camping

Our (probably) last camping trip of the year.

Great weather, good site, lots of fun. Except for the stupid blow-up mattress that Hubby and I slept on which DEFLATED and SUCKED.

Day at the Beach

Knew it was going to be really warm yesterday so I took the kids and a friend to Ocean Shores. Just about perfect there, the kids had a blast in the sand and surf. Yay!

The amount of sand on them is in direct proportion to the amount of fun they had.
