Three out of Four

Taken in the cab of my brother's truck, one crazy evening when we drove to Portland to have dinner with him. We hadn't seen him in over 3 years and it was such a treat to visit. Short and sweet.

Sunshine at the Puyallup Fair

Puyallup Fair Ride 1

I've decided this will be an annual trip for me. The first day of the fair often is the first Friday after school starts - and also you can get in for free with a donation of food to the local food bank. This was my second year and I really like it. Walking around looking at everything I want to look at for as long as I want. We're taking the whole family in a few days but the first friday? Is My Day.

These quilts were amazing:

Many memories from the Heidelberg, from watching my Husband play, to parties, to playing in my own bands, to a 40th Birthday way up on top.

Tomato Harvest

Grew tomatoes for the first time this year, it was pretty fun. And tasty. Can't wait to do it again next year. And yes, they are as small as they look but so flavorful. "Matts Wild Cherry" is the variety.

A Morning of Mist and Spiders

And this is what you get.
Morning Mist
Foggy Spider Web

So funny, how scared I am of spiders. Yet I love to photograph them. Maybe someday it'll help me overcome my fear.

Stay Tuned - Just In Case You Were Wondering

Our computer was under attack from a virus, and now its toast. As in, dead.
So, Hubby and I have decided to make the leap to a Mac. Yup. We will soon be jumping into the world of Apple AAAHHH!!! I'm a little scared. Not really. But this virus is pretty bad and we're hoping to avoid this in the future.
So, we'll be back online when we can. Hopefully next week some time.
Hope all is well with you. And by the way - I miss you!!!

Baking With Monstergirlee (Thanksgiving Prep)

Today I baked Banana Bread, Pecan Pie and tried a new technique on my turkey, I went with a Dry Brine. Basically you salt the turkey and let it sit for 3 days. Supposed to be good.

And the Turkey, kind of an unappetizing picture but since it was part of the days food prep, here it it. The salt too.

October Greeblepix Entry

M&D's Favorite Tree-ed1

I had a rather tough time choosing a photo for my entry this month. I took this yesterday out walking with my Mom. My parents have the most awesome cabin in Grantsberg, WI, right across the road from a State Park - we were out on this prairie walking around, saw deer tracks, sand crane tracks and BEAR tracks. But no bears- thankfully.
Anyway, this won, its my Mom and Dad's favorite tree. Here is a link to the rest of the greeblepix entries - enjoy! There are so many amazing photographers.

Today its snowing, there's at least 2 inches so far. Himself as we're walking to the bus stop this morning "Mama, are they going to cancel school because of the snow?" ha-ha-ha "No my son, this is Minneapolis, they need at least 10 times this amount before its cancelled."

Three of the rose pictures I took at Point Defiance in early September. That was such an awesome day of hanging with a good friend, watching our girls play, walking in the sunshine surrounded by gorgeous flowers. It was a good day indeed.

Camping Again - Nightime Portrait

Its probably kind of strange to finally read some of my owner's manual for my camera while camping. But thats what I did. Hubby and I had some fun after the kids were in bed with the manual exposure settings. This pic was a hand-held exposure for 1.6 seconds. I did lighten it up a bit before I posted it. Oh, and couldn't see a thing as far as focusing goes so I had to best-guess.
