Walking around in the warm sun last weekend I found so many beautiful flowers! After 17 years in the Pacific NW, I am still amazed at how you can find color and flowers during every single season. I'll post several more over the next several days. Enjoy.

The Narrows Bridge - Another Perspective

Creepy Crawly.... Seriously

As I struggled to keep my footing whilst clambering around in someones front yard (feeling very self-concious for trespassing!) and trying to focus it suddenly occured to me. If this spider fell or moved or jumped at me, I'd probably break my camera trying to get away. Was it really going to be an $800 photo? No, not really. But I've been trying to get photos of spiders for weeks now, this one turned out pretty good.

It was such a beautiful day today. What a treat!

From the Mouths of Babes

With a 2 yr old you know how often you have to repeat yourself, and prompt until they give the right answer and learn to use their good manners. It pays off in about 20 years or so - heh-heh.

So this afternoon Herself asks for help opening a bottle of juice, and we remind her "How do you ask nicely" To which she replied, "Help please". Then I opened the bottle, handed it back to her and when she didn't say thank you, I prompted her "And what do you say?" To which she replied "Yum, this is pretty good".

Oh The Colors We'll Go - Oh The Textures We'll Go

I posted some pictures of Hydrangeas during the summer. This is what they looked like about 2 weeks ago. I love how washed out they look. And the texture looks almost soft somehow. Anyway, I like this photo.

This photo is strangely flat. The actual area is rather deep - probably from the chimneys in the forefront to the walls at the back of the photo is maybe 30 feet or more? Anyway, the trouble is from those young hooligans and their want to graffitti. hmmm, how do you spell graffiti? Hope thats right.

Like a Bridge Over Narrow Water

I went for a walk, and found what used to be a park is now a DOT staging area, closed to the public (no trespassing). But I went anyway, walked around, found some cool views. Sadly I brought the wrong lens but managed to get a few good shots I hope. I'll go back again another day. It was noisy between the two 4 lane freeway bridges.

Red Stripes Making Me Cry

WTF is it with me today? Is it the weather? The short days? The rain? I'm not PMSing. I thought maybe I had low blood sugar because sometimes I get that way when I don't eat, but I just finished dinner. And its not the beer because I've only had about half of one this evening. Not sure what it is but today's photo was picked because when I looked at my choices, this one made me well up. I cried watching a man on video do a happy dance today. And this week I've had two rather HUGE pieces of good news. soooo..... Something somewhere is up with me. Anyway, here is another summer photo. mmm... too many Me posts.
